The National Decommissioning Authority has collaborated with the Oil and Gas Authority, National Nuclear Laboratory, Decom North Sea and Defence and Renewables, to launch the Safe Decommissioning Workshop Report.
From a safety perspective, common principles exist, regardless of industry: work on complex onshore facilities such as power stations, chimneys, and grounded offshore platforms; working in high hazard facilities in congested spaces, to name but a few.
This report shares good practice across industrial sectors and offers cross-industry learning.
