Port of Blyth officials are to host the port’s Annual Public Meeting online for the second year running next week due to continuing COVID restrictions.

Scheduled for Monday 26 April, the meeting will take place via Zoom webinar and is designed to give those with business and community interests in Blyth information on the performance of the port in 2020 as well as sharing exciting plans for the future.

The event will include a presentation on the financial and operational performance of the port during 2020 and the launch of both the port’s Annual Review for the year.

A live Q&A with Chief Executive Martin Lawlor and Chair of the Board of Commissioners Geoff Hodgson will offer stakeholders the opportunity to ask questions on any aspect of port activities. Questions are encouraged and will be accepted beforehand via email to enquiries@portofblyth.co.uk.

Port of Blyth Chief Executive Martin Lawlor, said: “As an independent Trust Port, we work on behalf of a wide range of stakeholders and their input at our Annual Public Meeting each year is both encouraged and highly valued. We’re looking forward to hosting the event online again this year having done so successfully in 2020 with very positive feedback from many of those who attended.”

The event will take place online on Monday 26 April at 5.30pm and is open to anyone who would like to attend via registration beforehand.
