ACN offshore has successfully completed Preparatory Decommissioning works of the Tullow Oil Horne & Wren platform SNSS in July 16. 8,542 man-hours consisting of Engineering, Project Management, Fabrication, Scaffolding, Offshore Welding & Rigging activities. All of which were executed accident and incident free.
The project was challenging for all services companies with the multiple interfaces involved in a SIMOP situation. ACN’s scope was successfully delivered by utilising ACN’s detailed Schedule of work scope. This became an accurate and critical tool in highlighting the SIMOP opportunities between plug and abandonment campaign activities, which ultimately in turn helped achieve Tullow Oil’s goal of bringing the completion date of the campaign forward and reducing overall cost of the project.
