Oil & Gas UK’s second Share Fair Spotlight of 2016 focuses on decommissioning. The industry is forecast to spend an estimated £16.9 billion over the next decade on offshore UKCS decommissioning, which represents a significant commercial opportunity for the UK supply chain, particularly those companies offering cost-efficient solutions which could help restore competitiveness to the basin.
Oil & Gas UK’s Share Fair Spotlights prioritise networking opportunities, promote interaction and support the industry’s Efficiency Task Force’s objectives to promote co-operative behaviours to tackle cost escalation on the UKCS. Suppliers and purchaser companies are encouraged to engage in constructive conversations aimed at identifying where the supply chain’s services, expertise and equipment can cost-effectively meet operators’ most pressing decommissioning challenges- with the aim of developing a demand-led supply chain.
Each ‘presenter’ will have 3 presentation slots throughout the event, where delegates will have the opportunity to hear a 20-30 minute presentation on Decommissioning activities and how operators and supply chain companies can engage, followed by a question and answer session.
