The Event
DNS has grown since its inception in 2010 to more than 340 members drawn from operators, major contractors, service specialists and technology developers. With decommissioning expenditure in the North Sea set to increase from the current £1billion per annum, DNS plays a vital role in solution development and cross sector learning and is helping to build supply-chain capability. DNS works with a number of strategic partners including Oil & Gas UK, the Oil and Gas Authority and DECC to achieve these objectives.
25 May 2016 sees the return of our flagship conference Decom Offshore for a fourth year. Following on from 2015‘s record attendance of over 250 delegates, we know that 2016’s conference will be high on the oil and gas industry’s agenda. "Decommissioning – Reality, Preparation and Action in a low oil price environment" will understandably focus upon the planning, collaboration and entrepreneurial flair that is so critical at this time for the North Sea oil and gas industry.
We believe this event will add significant value to the standard “lecture and network” format. In addition to a programme of highly relevant information sessions, Decom Offshore will also showcase previously unseen market insight and data – invaluable to businesses working hard to set decommissioning in the current industry context. Add to this a choice of interactive workshop sessions, focusing on an array of topical issues, and Decom Offshore becomes much more than a traditional conference. The event is also host to approximately 30 exhibitors, all of whom will showcase a vast selection of innovative technologies and solutions – tangibly bringing the next phase of decommissioning to life.
