Dawn Robertson

Dawn Robertson | Bureau Veritas - Global Strategic Sales Director, Global Services – Marine & Offshore

Dawn Robertson is the Global Strategic Sales Director, Global Services, for Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore.  Dawn is MBA and BA(Hons) qualified, with extensive experience in Senior Management and Director roles, and throughout her career, she has been responsible for matching external business challenges with talent. With over seventeen years strong commercial and business improvement experience,  Dawn excels at providing vision and leadership through her role as the Global Strategic Sales Director, whilst implementing innovative and proactive business strategies with strong performing and collaborative teams.

Dawn is driven to support growing business and meet targeted objectives, backed by an infectious passion for the work she does.  Dawn’s career has spanned across operations, marketing, sales and business development.  Having worked in the oil and gas industry for a number of years, Dawn has a comprehensive understanding of the needs and demands of those working within the industry.  In recent years, Dawn has worked in conjunction with industry experts to provide Bureau Veritas with the management required to support the needs of those in the decommissioning industry and has consolidated all the required BV service lines into a cohesive decommissioning portfolio.  Dawn has a particular interest in the innovative pursuit of cost efficiency through the advancement of technology in the decommissioning sector for example digital twinning in the decom space which through forensic analysis savings of up to 15% of total decommissioning project costs can be achieved.

Dawn acted as a lead on the "Decommissioning on the UKCS - An overview of regulations" initiative that has been very well received by industry and all involved.  The collaborative project, which wasn’t without challenges due to a lack of guidance in the industry and contained within regulations, has proved to be an effective project, providing the industry with concise information and guidance on decommissioning.  The document has resulted in a ‘Compliance Hub’ being formed with the partners and Bureau Veritas entities that now provide the decommissioning market a one-stop-shop for decommissioning compliance.

Dawn has been actively involved with Decom Mission since May 2018 as a member of the Decommissioning Leadership Group and Chair of the Market Intelligence Special Interest Group. Her passion and energy has been a catalyst to appoint her as the Decommissioning Leadership Group Chair and Vice Chair to the Board of Directors in August 2019.
